Community Supervision The Division of Community Supervision provides probation, parole and post-release supervision for more than 84,000 offenders. Rehabilitation & Reentry The Division of Rehabilitation and Reentry oversees a comprehensive array of reentry programs, services, and resources. Health Services The Division of Comprehensive Health Services provides full-spectrum, evidence-based medical care to all offenders in custody. Support Services The Division of Support Services oversees multiple, complex operations across agency facilities statewide. Special Operations & Intelligence SOIU directs operational procedures and the processing of intelligence that impacts the public, staff and offenders. Education Services Education Services provides and coordinates a wide range of training, vocational and learning opportunities for offenders in every facility. April 22, 2024 Offenders recycle in Moore County to help keep NC green Each year the Correction Enterprises Recycling Center in Carthage recycles 300,000+ pounds of aluminum waste, including roadside trash, old highway signs and outdated license plates. Current Initiatives ACA Accreditation As part of its strategic plan, the NCDAC is pursuing American Correctional Association accreditation for all parts of the agency. Air Conditioning Upgrades This complex NCDAC project aims to design and install air conditioning at 40 state prisons that lack cooling systems, either partially or entirely, by 2026. Hope University Launched throughout the NC prison system, Hope University provides offenders thousands of tablet-based academic, vocational, and self-improvement courses available to take at their own pace. Reentry 2030 Reentry 2030 is a national initiative that aims to dramatically improve reentry success for people exiting prison & for those under community supervision.
