Maury Correctional Institution is a close and medium security prison for adult males near Hookerton. Opened in April 2006, Maury became the fourth of six 1,000-bed facilities. A 504-bed medium-custody unit was added after the initial prison opened.

The facility is operated under the unit management system and is separated into six separate units. The Green Unit houses offenders assigned to residential mental health program, outpatient mental health regular population, and Veteran's dorm regular population. Blue Unit houses both regular population and offenders with chronic medical problems. Red Unit houses offenders in restrictive housing, as well as regular population. Gray Unit houses offenders in a Therapeutic Diversion Unit (TDU) and maximum control environment.

All regular population offenders are afforded the opportunity to participate in various work assignments and programs to assist them with future reintegration back into the community.
