Offender Public Information Search / Offender Locator - Search by name or offender ID for up-to-date information on North Carolina state prison offenders, probationers and parolees. This database from the NC Department of Adult Correction and the former NC Department of Correction contains historical information back to 1972. This database does not include county jail information. It includes special search tools for escapes/captures, absconders, offender releases and provides bulk downloads of data for statistical analysis.

Expungements / Requesting Removal of Information from Criminal Offender Database - When an expungement is granted the court notifies NCDAC directly. If you would like to request criminal record information be removed from our Criminal Offender Database, please follow these steps:
- If the person’s conviction resulted in a Prison / Incarceration, email the request with a copy of the expungement order to the Combined Records office at CombinedRecordsSupv@dac.nc.gov.
- If the person’s conviction resulted in Probation / Community Supervision email the request with a copy of the expungement order needs to the Division of Community Supervision at DAC_DCS_SupportServices@dac.nc.gov.
Automated System Query (ASQ) - This search tool queries the same NCDAC database as the Offender Public Information Search tool, but allows you to create specialized reports based on criteria that you select. ASQ returns counts and demographic information on the incarcerated and supervised population but not specific offender identities.
NC SAVAN Search - As part of North Carolina's commitment to support victims of crime, NC SAVAN (North Carolina Statewide Automated Victim Assistance and Notification) provides free, confidential notifications about an offender's custody status to victims, their families and their circles of support. County jail inmates, state prisoners, probationers, parolees and registered sex offenders are all included in this service. Notifications can be received via phone call, email, text message or TTY for the hearing impaired.
NC Sex Offender Registry - This database shows residential locations of registered sex offenders in North Carolina maintained by the NC State Bureau of Investigation.
Interstate Compact Offender Tracking - This search tool from the Interstate Commission on Adult Offender Supervision provides information on probationers or parolees whose supervision has been transferred to another state.
Law Enforcement Search - Search the Adult Correction database by last name or ID for up-to-date information on North Carolina offenders, probationers and parolees. This search tool aids investigators in the creation of offender photo lineups and provides access to offender information for law enforcement officers.
