Public Participation Plan

Share your feedback with us.

NCDAC invites the public to review and provide feedback on its draft Public Participation Plan, a roadmap designed to strengthen engagement with North Carolina communities. We believe that building a safe, more connected NC starts with listening. This draft plan reflects our commitment to transparency, accessibility and meaningful public involvement.

Key elements include:

  • Expanding access to public meetings, including virtual options, flexible scheduling and interpretation services;
  • Enhancing language access for people with limited English proficiency;
  • Ensuring ADA accommodations for individual with disabilities; and
  • Using multiple outreach methods - such as flyers, social media, radio, and partnerships - to reach underserved and rural communities.

The plan aligns with federal and state legal protections including:

  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
  • The American with Disabilities Act
  • NCDAC's Language Access Plan

The NCDAC Public Participation Plan will be reviewed and updated annually, incorporating community input and evolving best practices.
