RULES AND REGULATIONS

As a resident at the DART Center program, I understand that I will:

  • Obey all program rules.
  • Attend all activities and participate in substance abuse treatment, educational classes, individual counseling, office contacts with probation officers, and instructional classes as directed. It is the responsibility of each resident to participate and be supportive of other residents and facility staff in accomplishing the goals and objectives for the Program.
  • Not possess any prohibited items.
  • Not possess any tobacco products: cigarettes, electric cigarettes (based on nicotine factor), cigars, snuff, smokeless tobacco, and chews.
  • Not possess rolling papers, pipes, or other products used to smoke, inhale, or ingest tobacco products except for items used during religious services authorized by the facility manager.
  • Not possess any matches, lighters, or other devices used to ignite fire.
  • Not possess or use weapons.
  • Not engage in any illegal activity.
  • Not have contact with known gang members.
  • Not possess clothes, jewelry, signs or symbols, or paraphernalia commonly identified with a gang.
  • Not engage in any sexual activity.
  • Not display any violent or abusive physical behavior including threats or intimidations toward other residents and/or staff.
  • Allow scars, marks, tattoos to be photographed.
  • Submit to warrantless searches as directed by the Probation/Parole Officer.
  • Submit to random drug screens as directed by the Probation/Parole Officer.
  • Have shirts tucked into pants at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate behavior including no horseplay, profanity, disrespect, or gambling.
  • Protect the confidentiality of group discussions and group members.
  • Arrive on time for all classes and/or appointments.
  • Use telephones only as authorized by staff.
  • Not engage in inappropriate behavior during visitation.
  • Remain on the facility premises ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE WILL BE CONSIDERED ABSCONDING.
  • Lose my personal belonging if I abscond from supervision as DART Center management will dispose of my belongings.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene including daily bathing and appropriate laundering of soiled clothes.
  • Maintain clean living areas, dining areas, and treatment space as assigned.
  • Exercise proper care in the use of program facilities, equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Notify staff of any condition or circumstance that may interrupt or influence the treatment process, program operations or DART Center Program Rules and Regulations.
  • Comply with any aftercare plan provided by DART Center staff.
