Fugitive operation around Alamance County nets 30 arrests

During the month of March 2026, The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction’s Special Operations and Intelligence Unit (SOIU) coordinated a fugitive enforcement operation throughout Alamance County and its surrounding jurisdictions.

During the month of March 2026, The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction’s Special Operations and Intelligence Unit (SOIU) coordinated a fugitive enforcement operation throughout Alamance County and its surrounding jurisdictions.

Between March 24th-26th, four multi-agency teams were deployed across Alamance County and surrounding jurisdictions to conduct fugitive operations to locate wanted individuals for all participating agencies.

SOIU partnered with the United States Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF), Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Burlington Police Department, Graham Police Department, Mebane Police Department, Elon Police Department, and Community Supervision from Alamance and Durham County.

The operation resulted in the apprehension of 30 individuals, accounting for a total of 64 criminal charges (49 felony and 15misdemeanors) across 13 agencies.  

The highlights are as follows:

  •  Violent Crime: 10 offenses, including Attempted First-Degree Murder, Robbery, and Kidnapping.
  • Community Supervision: 15 arrests involved Probation and/or Post-Release Absconders/Violators
  • Narcotics and Weapons: 4 firearms-related offenses and 4 narcotics violations. 
  • Sex Offender Violations: 6 charges related to Sex Offender Registry Violations, including Solicitation of a Child by Computer and Failure to Notify Address Change by Sex Offender.
