Latasha White Pomoted to Division 4 Director for Community Supervision

Officials with the NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) have promoted Latasha White to Division Director in Judicial Division 4, effective August 17.

In her new position, White will lead Community Supervision operations in the 4th Judicial Division, which covers 25 counties in the western portion of the state.

“For more than 20 years, Latasha White has demonstrated her commitment and dedication to Community Supervision,” said Leslie Cooley Dismukes, secretary for the Department of Adult Correction. “She has built great teams who work tirelessly to create safer communities and she will continue that success in leading Division 4.”

“I am very pleased to promote Latasha White to this important leadership position,” said Tracy K. Lee, chief deputy secretary of Community Supervision. “She has a valuable array of experience that will no doubt benefit the districts she supervises.”

Latasha White began her career with NCDAC in 2004 as a correctional case manager at Alexander Correctional Institute. In 2006, she became a probation/parole officer and was later promoted as chief probation/parole officer in 2014. She served that position in Catawba County and supervised officers assigned to Adult Recovery Court, Sex Offenders and Security Risk Groups.

White has also served as the Assistant Judicial District Manager (AJDM) in District 27, overseeing operations in Gaston, Lincoln and Cleveland counties. In 2024, she was promoted to the Judicial District Manager (JDM) of District 25 which includes Burke, Catawba, and Caldwell counties.

Most recently, White served as the Assistant Judicial Division Director (AJDD) for Division 4.

A North Carolina native, White holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Appalachian State University. She is also a graduate from the North Carolina Department of Community Supervision's Correctional Leadership Development Program.
