Officials with the NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC)  have promoted John Corwin to the position of Judicial District Manager II in Judicial District 5, effective January 13, 2025.In his new position, he will oversee Community Supervision operations in District 5 which covers New Hanover and Pender counties in the eastern portion of North Carolina.

Officials with the Department of Adult Correction (DAC) have promoted Michael Gier to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 28, effective December 23.In his new position, he will oversee probation/parole officers and staff who supervise individuals in District 28 sentenced to probation, parole or post-release supervision

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) is pleased to announce the release of its Language Access Plan. This initiative highlights NCDAC’s dedication to improving rehabilitation and supporting successful reentry into society. The plan is designed to ensure meaningful access to services, programs, and activities for offenders, their families, and the public who speak Languages Other Than English (LOTE) or are Limited English Proficient (LEP), with the goal of enhancing rehabilitation outcomes and reducing recidivism rates.
