Officials with the Department of Adult Correction (DAC) have promoted David McCarthy to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 2, effective November 25.In his new position, he will oversee Community Supervision operations in District 2 which covers five counties in eastern North Carolina – Beaufort, Hyde, Martin, Tyrrell and Washington.
Congratulations to North Carolina's newest group of Probation/Parole Officers. Fifteen officers from Class 9 and twenty-one officers from Class 9A for 2024 completed their seven-week basic training at the Samarcand Training Academy and at the North Carolina Justice academy, respectively.
