The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on I-95 in Cumberland County near Godwin. Initial reports indicate that there is one death and one injury that may be storm related.

The State Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle collision on I-40 near exit 334 in Johnston County early this morning that resulted in both eastbound lanes of I-40 being closed.

World War II Air Force Colonel Durwood B. Williams, a Raleigh native, was the guest speaker at the North Carolina National Guard’s celebration of the United States Air Force’s 68th birthday at Joint Force Headquarters in Raleigh Sept. 18.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a collision that resulted in approximately 26 passengers being injured after a tractor trailer rear ended a bus carrying migrant workers on U.S. 64 near Tarboro, North Carolina.

United States Attorney Thomas G. Walker announced today that local community agencies that assist crime victims will benefit from $60,012,054 that has been awarded to the State of North Carolina by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Victims of Crime (OVC).
