American Correctional Association Approves 10 More NCDAC Operations for Accreditation

Eight N.C. Department of Adult Correction facilities, along with the department’s Central Office and the entire Division of Community Supervision, have been awarded full accreditation by the American Correctional Association.

Davidson Correctional Shines in ACA Audit

American Correctional Association auditors have recommended accreditation be awarded to the Davidson Correctional Center in Lexington, N.C., another step toward full accreditation of the North Carolina prison system.

Edward Basden named warden of Pender Correctional

Basden previously served as the warden of New Hanover Correctional Center.

Elton Rogers named warden of Wake Correctional

Rogers previously served as associate warden and acting warden of Wake Correctional, which was idled in June 2022 due to the pandemic and staffing shortages.
