Department of Adult Correction facilities, along with the department’s Central Office and the entire Division of Community Supervision, have been awarded full accreditation by the American Correctional Association.During the ACA’s Winter Conference on Friday, an accreditation panel of ACA Commissioners voted to award full accreditation to:

American Correctional Association auditors have recommended accreditation be awarded to the Davidson Correctional Center in Lexington, N.C., another step toward full accreditation of the North Carolina prison system.
Basden previously served as the warden of New Hanover Correctional Center.
