Behavioral Health Doctoral Psychology Internship Program

Welcome to the NC Department of Adult Correction Behavioral Health Services Doctoral Psychology Internship Program.

We offer four full-time, 12-month doctoral internship positions that include exceptional experiences across three unique correctional settings - at NC Central Prison, the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, and with the NC Post Release and Parole Commission. 

Our Doctoral Psychology Internship Program is a part of NCDAC's Division of Health Services of the Adult Correction system. Behavioral Health Services includes the clinical services provided by our licensed behavioral health clinicians, treatment support services, and the Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Program. 

Our internship maintains membership in the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). Our APPIC Member Number is #2142. 

We offer our internship positions through the APPIC Internship Matching Program operated by the National Matching Services, Inc. Our Internship Match Code is #214211.
