During remarks at the Pitt County Reentry Job and Resource Fair, Governor Roy Cooper announced April 22-26, 2018 is Reentry Week in North Carolina.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. today at Piedmont Correctional Institution, several offenders were involved in an offender-on-offender assault in the prison yard.

RALEIGH: North Carolina will receive a $12 million grant to continue its fight against the opioid epidemic, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The funds will be used for prevention, access to treatment and improved linkages to care.

On Thursday, April 04 at approximately 1:00 p.m., the State Highway Patrol stopped a Nissan passenger vehicle for traveling 96 mph in a 55 mph zone on US 70 near Edwards Rd in Johnston County.
