A writ is required for a virtual court proceeding and should be emailed to the writ office at  svc.dac_writ_office@dac.nc.gov  Please do not send writs to prison facilities..  

When the writ is submitted, please include the length of time requested for the appearance along with the best contact phone number and email for the requesting party.  

The writ office will provide email notification to the requesting party of the approval or denial based on availability.
