WHAT: Quarterly meeting of the State Reentry Council Collaborative (SRCC). The SRCC was established by the North Carolina General Assembly and former Gov. Roy Cooper in 2017 and is managed by the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. The SRCC is made up of representatives from across state and local government whose agency responsibilities intersect with the incarceration or reentry process for people in North Carolina.
$10,000 in reward money is now offered for information that leads to the capture of Francisco Cardenas, who escaped from Hyde Correctional Center in Swan Quarter on Thursday.  The U.S. Marshals Service is now assisting in the investigation and search.
Sheriff's deputies in Hyde County captured Francisco Cardenas this evening.
State correctional officers and law enforcement agencies are seeking Francisco Cardenas #1430307, a minimum-custody offender who escaped today from Hyde Correctional Center in Swan Quarter.
It is the 50th NCDAC facility either to be recommended for or awarded the distinction.

Officials with the NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) have promoted Kathryn Rhodes to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 29, effective March 24.In her new position, Rhodes will oversee Community Supervision operations in Polk, Transylvania, McDowell, Henderson and Rutherford counties.  The district includes 75 probation/parole officers and staff supervising more than 2,300 individuals sentenced to probation, parole or post-release supervision.
